Thomas Associates Architects aims to be client focused, to develop a thorough understanding of the brief and to deliver the highest achievable level of professional service.

Communication, collaboration and coordination within the design team and between stakeholders is critical.

Milestones will be adapted for the project and critical delivery timeframes adhered to and met.

We believe the best project outcome is delivered by providing options in an open manner.

Documentation is well detailed, clear and concise.

Early and continued coordination throughout the design and management process is key from an early stage.  The services and structural design requirements will be coordinated with the architecture, site limitations, urban design, general performance and aesthetic requirements.

We have a clear understanding of structure and this experience allows us to integrate a structural model that is economical and appropriate for the building design.

We prepare project specific design documentation checklists based on the New Zealand Construction Industry Council guidelines incorporating:

  • Concept design
  • Preliminary design
  • Developed design
  • Detailed design
  • Sub consultant integration
  • Construction monitoring
  • Project handover

We manage our projects from inception to completion to meet the client’s requirements and to ensure completion on time within the budget and to the required standards of quality.
